Women across the Commonwealth unite for the Art of Change

The Royal Commonwealth Society is to host a group art exhibition, Art of Change, by women from across the Commonwealth.  The exhibition will take place from 18th July to 5th August this year and is being organised by Kambani Arts.

The exhibition is in line with this year’s Commonwealth theme, Women as Agents of Change.  It will draw together women artists who create or inspire change from each of the 54 Commonwealth nations.

The Royal Commonwealth Society’s Head of External Affairs, Joanna Bennett, said “the RCS is celebrating the 2011 Commonwealth theme, Women as Agents of Change in a variety of ways, from campaigning on girls’ education to hosting a series of events exploring women’s contemporary role in politics, business and religion.  This art exhibition promises to be one of the highlights of our calendar, uniting women artists from all over the world”.
