Cayman Islands to celebrate Diamond Jubilee with an extra public holiday

The Cayman Islands government has announced that the Cayman Islands will get an extra day’s public holiday in June next year.  This is in line with the UK’s extra public holiday.

This means that alongside the public holiday celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s official birthday on 18th June, Caymanians will also get Monday 4th June off.

In the UK the late May bank holiday will be moved to Monday 4th June and there will be an extra public holiday celebrating the Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday 5th June, forming a long weekend of celebrations.

Why not let us know on Twitter and Facebook how your country is planning to celebrate Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.
